Could you be our next Club Coach?

The committee are looking to support a number of club members to gain their Level 1 coaching certificate.

With the introduction of a new coach training programme, the Level 1 coach has been renamed as Session Coach, – but the role remains the same – to deliver beginners sessions which help people new to archery get the most out of the experience.

The training for a Session Coach involves three full days of course work, then 12 hours supported practice at the club, followed by an assessment day.

Session Coaches in Aire Valley help run the beginners courses and novice sessions throughout the year and any new coaches would be expected to take an active part in these.

The club runs 3 beginners courses a year on Saturday mornings, and a number of novice sessions once a month (in summer on Monday evenings and in winter on a Saturday or Sunday morning).

If you are interested in applying for support to become a Session Coach, please email Bev (coach@aire-valley-archers.co.uk) outlining your reasons for wishing to become a coach and what you think you can bring to the role, by 16th February.

If you wish to have more information about coaching in the club please also contact Bev or one of the other club coaches.
